Just want to know what other people think, especially because there’s one big benefit that not a lot of people realize.

The only benefit is the chance of you pulling a Soul Crate but what's the point of Soul Crates when the server wont have a steady income flow?

Other servers got away with pets and disguises, what's YN gonna do? We have DayZ and if you add more particle-y shiney donator classes, all that it's gonna serve is as a flare "Here I am, end my fucking life"

Does anybody realise that this will just encourage afk safezone players more since they can get crates for fucking free for doing nothing?

I propose we have a timer that says "PREPARING TO DROP LOOT BOMB, ALL IN SAFEZONE WILL NOT RECIEVE IT", might be difficult to code though

Not to be rude to anyone but why does everyone care so much about the change, we cant change it and we are stuck with it

people get so used to p2w that they can't handle the change. Hey, just do what a lot of servers do and bypass the blacklist? (Havoc did it, the sister server)

Honestly though, the fate of the server honestly depends on how the update is released. If it has time and effort put into it, it'll be a blast. Also, it would be cool to see new cosmetics etc. Maybe new skins or perhaps you could change your PLAYER skin? Or there could be cool particle effects from your bullets? (like, there could be hearts from your bullets or something, ya know?)

Anyway, if the EULA update doesn't receive nicely, you can always bypass the blacklist. But it would make advertising a bit harder..

Yea actually, but just sucks that this may be the killing blow for YN since a lot of servers go down after the EULA

That is just how you interpret the change. You still haven't seen what is coming. Other things that are server-even/cosmetic can be easily added. Exp boosters, for example would be a great way to make revenue, and especially valuable on Infernal AND Dayz in the future.

Another idea- Donatable server-wide events. Make a location on the maps on Dayz and Infernal, and a special map for Warzone. These places activate when someone purchases the event key. The event triggers, and it's like a big boss that anyone is allowed to go and chase for great loot.

As well, in the cosmetic realm, perhaps special mount/vehicle skins? Imagine if you got that nice black Jeep thats super traditional for Dayz. Boring. LETS GET SOME HOT PINK AS WE ROLL BOIS! Perhaps that one dragon you have you want to be green?

The old system isn't coming back, no point in complaining. If you care about Yom Network, you should be coming UP with ideas rather than just autistically screeching.

It signals that the vehicle you're attacking is being used by a weeb and hence not worth looting or they're OP. It kinda works lmfao

Not sure players like me really know enough about all the changes coming and ultimately determine how it will impact IR. If complying with EULA is the only way to finally update the server then compliance is a good thing, because without a change the server won't survive. I have seen dozens of players come and go on IR. I even left for months because of multiple glitches/issues an inability to actually maintain a town with other players. If the update is successful and new people have a guide to learn the game, I think players will return and the server will grow resulting in increased revenue and sustainability.

Finding ways to incorporate "mystery items", "lucky drops" into the game allows new/lower ranked players have an opportunity to gain equipment and money which might entice them to stay on the server longer until they get established. Everyone likes an opportunity to get something OP. Holiday items/events might be revenue generating.

For those who don't PVP and war (there is a sizable percentage) there needs to be challenges and opportunities for these players also. Maybe people can earn mystery items by random activities like farming, fishing, building, visiting places on the map or quests. New players might have access to build a temporary shelter or home that will allow them time to learn the game. It's very discouraging to spend hours learning a game and building up stuff, even entry level gear and supplies, only to loose it the next weekend and have to start all over. Some servers have protection for a period of time for new players.

EULA or not, I think the servers survival depends upon a successful update.
