So i read on the update that there is a new infernal server on standby. I am curious why it isn't out yet as infernal is the the most populated server out of the three. Plus the new server will give a new start from the tainted old server which has duped stuff on it. Please add the new server asap.
I do not think this will take first priority, they'll probably have to finish the dayz update first before going into updates like this Edit: They also stat that this will be on "standby"
The new server will most likely come out this weekend when it is needed. We arent going to release another server if the first one isnt completely full.
We are very busy with the dayz update and other updates and a second infernal server is not really needed at the moment. I hate splitting up player bases without need. Infernal hasnt maxed out in the past week much at all, so justifying a new server is hard. We like to only open the required servers we need to, in order to keep the current servers high in players for a better gaming experience. We added 2 DayZ server because the demand was high for a second one, however when DayZ is lower on players (during weekdays, or during school) you can see how the split servers affects gameplay, it splits up the players thus making it less fun than if all the players were in a singular world. The same problem would happen with an Infernal 2, so in my opinion I think we should wait until the demand is high enough to justify a new server. We are growing every month and hopefully one day we will be able to justify multiple servers for each gamemode. I think that after the DayZ Update, if all goes according to plan we may even need a dayz 3! Another problem with a second Infernal Server is that the servers cannot be synced much at all, since the maps are completely different (players can make towns). The towns will not be synced, so that means kings wont be synced, which is a big part of the game. Much like the DayZ 2 server it was a great opportunity for newer players to have an advantage for once over the veteran players from dayz 1, since everyone started off from the bottom again. The same will happen for Infernal Realms 2, however It usually works better if its released later on down the line so there is a need for newer players to have an advantage. As of right now only around 7 people have reached the 2nd highest rank in the game. Anyways just my 2 cents.
Well it the server wont really split. The players that have started in the first server dont really want to change and start again. The second server are for those new comers like from dayz and such who come on and see infernal realm is full and not giving them a chance to try it and deterring them back to dayz or warzone. The new server will open up for new players mainly, the old players will tend to stay on the first server.
You would be surprised. Many players on the Infernal 1 server may switch to server 2 right at the start so they can be the strongest people in that game. Youre right that people will gravitate to whatever server they have more accomplished on however it would be better to keep them all to one server if they arent maxed out.
