TLDR: {So, I've been banned due to a Proxy/VPN false flag event in the system, the ban lasts for 3 hours, and after it expires, the ban resets back to 3 hours prompting me to seek staff support. Sure fine, but the issue is that I never bothered to join the discord, so I worry I will not be seeing any unban for such an absolute nuisance of a ban because of the lack of staff presence on forums.} CONTEXT: I recently moved and had to get a new ISP & IP address.. yomnetworks system automatically false flagged my new ip as a Proxy.. which is strange considering that it's an authentic IP address. And on the contrary, there is a decent amount of posts still on the first page of Off-Topic & General complaining about lack of staff attention to forums, I worry I will be waiting to play DayZ for a very very long time.. Heck, if you look in Off Topic there is a post where a person appeals their ban and waited a month for a staff to respond to the appeal with no avail, so they brought it into off-topic as a last call for help, to still get no response. Hope that doesnt happen to me!
Did you make an appeal on the fourms at all? Also the best way to deal with this issue is going into our discord and talking in the support channel, jasper will fix the problem.
ronnie that doesnt work if your account is banned. you have to verify your mc account on the server with the dc account. Cant do that when you are banned... I have been waiting for 9 month on my appeal with no replies... Can you look into it? I also made another appeal because the one from 9 month ago is a bit cringy ~timitolli007
You can join the discord and use the support channel for unverified users. Your appeal is also being looked at be patient.
You posted your appeal 12 hours before posting this message. Have some patience, a staff member who knows what happened will take a look at it.
Ok thank you so much! I’m really confused on how I got banned I love this server and would never hack on it
I’ve had mixed experiences with posting appeals on forums. In some active communities, you can get a decent response, especially if the topic is something people are passionate about. But in others, you might just end up getting ignored or not getting much feedback. I’d say it’s worth trying, but don’t expect too much if it’s a place where the focus is mainly on other things, or if the mods are strict about what gets posted. It’s a bit hit or miss, honestly.
