It saddens me to see the server kind of quietly disappear. Been around since 2015, and it was wonderful. Not that the server is dead, but it appears that it is definitely lacking the robust player base it proudly held during 2016- early 2018. Don't know how many regular people are active on these forums yet, but just for the hell of it, what are some ideas we could throw at Yom to make the server better, and how can we, regular users, try to get yom-network more publicity so more people play?
i dont think building blocks are the problem but yeah after infernal is fully released Yom will be working on the massive Infected update which will improve the game and bring in new and old players
Yeah! I heard about that. And while I'm excited for that, it still raises the question: How do we get players, whether they are old or new, to come to the server after it's been updated?
a good guess would be to actually fucking carry updates out instead of promising updates for years with no end. maybe that's why yomnetwork is in such decline. wtf.
No offence, but you can't be so sure about that. The new IR hasn't really brought much players back in. Perhaps I'm wrong though. I mean, I think Infected was the main game.
yeah infected was the main game, will 100% bring in players, the trouble is keeping them. Infernal might be too hard for new players.
more advertising? oof. lower the budget on smth else lmao jk jk the new update will revive the server. Most new people leave right after joining because the server can't be played without insta death. Most pros camp low levels, thus making them quit fast. when update comes, people will stay cus new things have arrived and days servers are searched quite much (and yn is one of the most clicked!)
That would only make things so- so much worse. If players already are leaving for being camped as low levels think about how thrilled they'll be when 20 fastplace, killaura and tracer users come back to farm them! I have been banned 5 times on yomnetwork and have quit all my illegal stuff, but most won't or don't deserve to. If they really want back they just need to buy an unban to show that they deserve to come back.
No one wants to spend money on a Minecraft server that hasn't been updated in 2 years. Plus hackers made the economy balanced the legit players get their stuff from farming hackers get it from pvp. Do you know how many god sets id have if Yom did a unban all? A LOT I have over 25 accounts with god sets and filled banks that got banned
>Before Infernal Update, we were promised Infernal would bring back more players >Infernal drops >Not a significant change in player size >DayZ update teased >DayZ update is promised to bring back a lot of players :thonk:
