Historically speaking, Alcatraz was a prison island off the shore of California. Gulags, historically speaking, were in Siberia, which is in snowy, North-Eastern Russia. The locations Gulag and Alcatraz are similar enough in builds to be considered swappable, as both functioned as secluded prison-labor centers. That said, Alcatraz is in the North East of the map... a great location for a Siberian Gulag, and the Gulag is an island-fortress in the center of the North-Western lake... a stark similarity to the actual Alcatraz. Call me pedantic, but I think a great opportunity was missed in the release of this updated map.
Haha, wasnt intentional. The locations were built 3 years apart. Changing the names now may cause more confusion to those who have learned the map would by my concern. But yes I feel ya haha
