We are proud to announce the release of the long awaited DayZ update! The update adds in tons of content and new features, while also fixing tons of bugs and exploits. With this update, the following will also be reset: Items Banks Money Homes Clans Over the past year, there have been numerous duplication glitches and other exploits which have put millions of tokens into the economy, and essentially caused money to become worthless. Since there is no real way to check or remove all the money that has been illegally obtained, we have been forced to reset it. This reset affects everyone equally, so everyone is on the same playing field. All token and crate purchases from 5-1-16 to present will be regiven. Vehicles have been removed, however will be returning very soon in a much better way. Not only will they be easier to use but they will be much more complex and unique Weapons NEW Super Soul Crates. These crates give soulbound camo weapons. Added ADS(aim down sights) models to all weapons. This gives a first and third person view, so not only will you know you are aiming down sights, your enemies will too! Added Reload models to all weapons. This gives a first and third person view, so not only will you know you are reloading, your enemies will too! Added particle effect animations to all guns. Added ability to unload ammo via /unload or /ammo. Added gun weights to all guns. Added many new guns. Added many new camo guns. Added many new BOP(Box of parts) guns. Only 1 use. Added Defibrillators to revive fallen teammates. Added Backpacks as an extension of the inventory. Changed med kits to cure bleeding, broken bones, lodged bullets, and shrapnel as well as fully heal you. Changed blood transfusion kits to only cure other players from bites. Team up for infinite cures! Changed bandages to be 1 use. They no longer heal you, but they stop bleeding. Changed splints to be 1 use. Medical items can now be used to cure others as well as yourself. You can now team up and become a medic! Fixed all crafting exploits Fixed many item exploits Removed make-shift fire. Clans and Base Building Added 4 new building blocks: Metal Block, Titanium Block, Uranium Block, Radium Block Added 4 new destruction tools: Metal Drill, Crystal Drill, Uranium Drill, Radium Drill Added customizable banners for (Premium)+. Personalize your clan home! Improved clans and clan homes overall. No more clan home glitches! Disabled setting homes, clanhomes, and building within dungeon areas Resource Pack Added many new sounds to improve gameplay. Improved visuals for nearly every item as well as drop models, to make more sense. Improved resourcepack stress on your computer overall. It should run better for most players. Added new zombie variants: Brutes, Infestors, Reavers. Status Effects Added Messages that show in the boss bar and persist as long as the effects are active. Added new status effects: Lodged Bullets from guns, and Shrapnel from explosions. Added /status to quickly see what effects are active or not. Status effects no longer go away on logout. Only cleared on restart. Legendary rank now dosen't get Bleeding, Bites, or Broken Bone effects. Backpacks Added 5 types of backpacks. Backpacks act as an inventory extension. Any items stored in backpacks will be dropped upon death regardless if the backpack is in your inventory or not. To use backpacks, put it in your offhand slot, then right click the backpack! Stats Added a wide range of stats that track many different aspects of survival. Added leaderboards, that show who is dominating the statistic. Player Revival Added dead bodies. They now spawn when a player dies and stay for 5 minutes before being cleared. Leaving SZ via any method clears the body. You can use a defibrillator to revive your teammate, or shoot the body to confirm the kill on your enemy! Ropes Improved ropes to actually tie up players. You must hold right click on a player for 4 seconds to capture them. While they are captured, they cannot interact with things. You can use /captive to teleport your hostage to your location, if they are within 100 blocks. In order to break free, you must hold a knife for 20 seconds, or have someone right click you. Miscellaneous Added the Black Market, where players can buy and sell things from other players while in SZ. Added global and local chat. Global chat has a 10 second cooldown. Added many new perks to donation ranks. Added voice emotes, as an alternate way to communicate with nearby survivors. Revamped Loot tables to balance items. No longer pvplog when being kicked. Combat tag is now 30 seconds. PVP logging spawns an NPC. The NPC can be killed, and you can also log back in at any time to take control of the NPC. After 1 minute, the NPC despawns. Improved token earning. Fixed teleport glitching. Fixed gas mask exploits. Fixed rank titles showing incorrectly. Removed /airdrop.
